Ocimum Basiliucm – cultivar Cinnamon - also known as Mexican Spice Basil (and not to be confused with Thai Basil) makes a deliciously aromatic herbal tea that is naturally soothing.
This herbal infusion contains the stems, seeds and leaf – to capture all the delicious flavours contained in each part of the plant.
Naturally caffeine free.
The dried leaves smell wonderfully sweet and spicy before you even pour the water. Steeped, it’s surprisingly smooth with a gentle warmth that makes it my go-to cup for winding down in the evening.
The cinnamon kick comes through clearly in the steam, and it's way more soothing than I expected from a basil tea. I've been sipping it mid-afternoon when I need to unwind, and the natural sweetness means I don't even add honey.
Brewed a cup after dinner and the aroma filled the whole kitchen—so much sweeter and spicier than regular basil tea. It's genuinely calming, and the leaves steep up to a lovely pale gold without any bitterness. Definitely my new evening ritual.
