Smokey Tea Orangenmarmelade

The moment I opened the jar, that smoky guava-leaf aroma hit me before I even tasted it — and the marmalade itself is the perfect balance of bitter orange and warm tea. It's genuinely unlike any preserve I've tried, and a little goes a long way on a buttered scone.

Spread this on toast this morning and the smoky tea note really lingers underneath the orange sweetness, which I didn't expect. The candied Seville orange pieces give it a nice bit of chew, too. Gone in three days, which says everything.
