This year the Satemwa Tea & Coffee Estate turns 100! To celebrate this huge milestone Henrietta and special guests from Satemwa will take you on an adventure through their tea, telling stories of the farm, its history and tasting some incredible teas as we go.

Located in the Shire Highlands of Malawi, Satemwa is one of the last independent farms in the region - family run and not influenced by vast multinational corporations. As guardians of the land, the family has gone beyond organic with regenerative agriculture and agroforestry, putting an emphasis on skilled people rather than mechanisation. This provides more and better jobs as well as producing far better quality tea. The team at Satemwa have pioneered incredible innovation in hand-crafted leaf to shape some of the best teas in Africa, if not the world.

We’ll be tasting Lost Malawi, a rich, single estate English Breakfast tea; Malawi Green, a rare African green tea steamed in a Japanese style; Black Iced Tea, specifically designed for cold infusion, and lastly the wonderfully unique Malawi Leafy Pu'er, an extraordinary tea and a style rarely found outside of China.

Pick up the bundle with every tea featured in the tasting and get the ticket to this masterclass absolutely free.

Henrietta's storytelling made the century-long history of the estate feel alive, and the way she tied each tea to its place in that timeline was genuinely moving. I loved that the special guests added real depth to the session, not just filler talk.

I’ve been to a few tea tastings online, but this centenary session felt like sitting in on a family history, not just a product pitch. Hearing Henrietta share the estate’s stories while we brewed along made the 100-year milestone feel personal, and the live Q&A was a nice bonus. Worth the hour if yo

The centennial storytelling from Henrietta and the Satemwa guests made this feel like sitting in on a family history, not a lecture. The tasting segments paired with the estate’s 100-year timeline really brought the tea’s journey to life. I’ve already booked a spot for the next session.
